On August 3, 2019, Shanghai Pudong Library ushered in a special event “Bauhaus Design Caravan China Tour” to celebrate the establishment of the German Bauhaus School for 100 years, designed by German architect Van Bo Le Mentzel, replicating Bauhaus The caravan of the school building in Shao, started a global tour. Founded in 1919 in Weimar, Germany, Bauhaus Design School is the world's first modern design school. Although it was only 14 years since its founding (1919-1933), its design philosophy and teaching methods have inspired the global design community. The impact has been until today, a hundred years later. The event took the opportunity of the 100-year-old commemoration to reorganize the development and achievements of Chinese design and China's thinking and speculation on modern design, education and future life.
