HMD-Designed Shanghai Yixing Wanda Plaza Opens

 

On May 31, 2013, Yixing Wanda Plaza, designed by HMD, celebrated its grand opening. The opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Huang Lixin (member, Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and secretary, CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee), Huang Qin (member, Standing Committee of CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, and first deputy mayor of Wuxi), Zhang Yefei (member, Standing Committee of CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, secretary-general of Municipal Party Committee), Wang Zhongsu (secretary, CPC Yixin Municipal Committee, and chairman, Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress), Zhang Lijun (deputy secretary, CPC Yixin Municipal Committee, and major of Yixin), Zhou Bin (member, Standing Committee of CPC Yixin Municipal Committee, and member, CPC Municipal Leadership Group), He Xiaojin (deputy mayor, Yixin Municipal Government). Mr. Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda Group, also attended and addressed the ceremony. Celebrities of all circles and mainstream media gathered at Yixin Wanda Plaza to witness the launch of the first high-end commercial property masterpiece in Yixin. By tradition, Wanda Group later donated 500,000 yuan to Yixing Charity Federation for social welfare development.

 

Yixing Wanda Plaza, as a chief mixed-use project of Yixin, plays a significant role in implementing the planning construction of Dongjiu New City, Yixin, promoting the regional commercial class, driving the regional industrial transformation and upgrading, and elevating Yixin's development level of the service sector.
