HMD-Designed Shenyang Yulong City Opens

 

On December 27, 2015, China's first 160,000 sqm large culture-tourism-commerce complex - Shenyang Yulong Town, designed by HMD, held a grand opening ceremony.

 

HMD started the design work of Yulong Town since February 2012, and in May 2012, as the removal at North Middle Street was implemented, a historical site was found within in the project range. After having compared with a map of the Qing Dynasty in The First Historical Archives of China, i.e., Shengjing City Map, it was recognized as the site of Khan Palace. As the site was recognized and protected, HMD took charge of modification of the design program in terms of preservation and exhibition of the site, while incorporating with the commercial project of Yulong Town.
