The project, located in Dian Zhong New Area, Kunming, Yunnan, and adjacent to Changshui International Airport, is an important component of Kunming Airport Economic Zone. It is positioned as an international airport business town which, driven by the two engines of commerce exhibition and integrated free trade, forms a functional system that integrates business recreation, airport service, logistics and manufacturing. In short, it is an international aviation city that integrates airport economic and urban functions. Its overall structure is planned with two cores, three belts, and four areas. Two cores refer to the airport core and its integrated service core that interact with each other and drive economic development. Three belts refer to the new National Highway 320, Songming-Kuming Expressway and Konggang Avenue, on the south flanks and north flanks of which an airport industry zone and an airport business zone will form to intensify the link between the two core engines to further increase the value of the region. Four areas refer to the integrated service area, the airport service area, the integrated free trade and expansion area, and industry upgrade area, all of which have their distinct characteristics.
