Jingpo Town, Mudanjiang
The design team strives to make Jingpo Town into a symbolic tourist area in North China, just like the Big Dipper up on the sky, being the brightest focal point of the vast starry sky. We strive to build seven planning groups with clear themes and varied forms. Linking the 7 spots together by a continuous commercial corridor, so that the groups shall penetrate and interlock with each other. Visitors could experience different types of building spaces, and enjoy services of different commercial forms. We will create a personalized, diversified, original, and non-copyable tourist business environment, making it a landmark axis that leads the entire town.
Architectural design: due to the diverse architectural styles around the base, challenges are raised against the architectural style of the main axis. The design team wields the dialectical approach of diversity and unity to incorporate rich diverse architectural spaces into the unified style of architectural language, valuing the integrity of the axis itself while taking into account the changes of the surrounding environment. The four main architectural style areas from north to south are: modern architecture area, classic architecture area, natural architecture area, and humanistic architecture area.
